Welcome to Baja Diving & Service
The corner stone of Club Cantamar, Baja Diving & Service started in 1983 with a small 22' panga and a used 40 hp outboard engine.Based on good, affordable, friendly service, the fleet grew gradually to 24' skipjacks with outboards, then to a 31 ft twin diesels inboard, and so on.Nowadays, our fleet, based at our own premises at Cantamar, is the largest, fastest and most comfortable on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, and continue pleasing divers from all over the world. Additionally, we use a spotter plane during whale shark season to make it easier to find those gentle giants and to direct the dive boats to them.

Baja Diving & Service has its home base at Pichilingue Bay, which is located 10 miles (17 km) north of La Paz, which means that same distance closer to the dive spots around the islands, shortening the boat rides in half. The most beautiful islands and beaches are at reach with one of our snorkeling expeditions. Playful sea Lions and all kinds of tropical fish delight divers and non divers, and during the 17 miles boat ride, schools of dolphins and the occasional transient whale encounter add excitement to your expectations..
Breakfast at our dock restaurant while we get your boat ready is one-of-a-kind experience, starting with great food freshly prepared, orange juice that you can squeeze yourself, and the busy preparations of the crew. Our comfortable fast boats make the best of your day, departing at 08:30 every morning and bringing you back to our dock at 17:00 approximately, after a full day of excitement. If you are not staying at Cantamar, our shuttle van will pick you up and drive you back to your hotel, at scheduled hours. |

Education
The Sea of Cortéz is for all. Skills can be developed all the way from snorkeling classes, to Nitrox and Divemaster. Multilingual young men and women instructors teach PADI courses.One-to-one is the most efficient way to learn, and we take pride on making sure you will succeed and get certified in a maximum of 4 days. Referrals are welcome.

Nitrox Filling Station
As part of our technical diving operation, Baja Diving & Service is a certified blend, repair and training center for ANDI and TDI, with 70 scuba tanks that are oxygen clean and are available with any oxygen mixture, at reasonable rates. Additionally, Club Cantamar has a nitrox membrane system for 32 - 36% fills.
Rental Equipment
25 full sets of brand new, well maintained Sherwood rental gear. Reasonable rental fees, such as US$ 20 per day for a full set of gear when diving with Baja Diving & Service, allow you to explore safely the Sea of Cortéz, while traveling light.
Private Lockers
No need to carry your gear to your room. A set of well ventilated private lockers, with double locks, close to the dive dock, make your diving experience less tiring. Rinse tanks are available next to the lockers. Diving the Sea of Cortéz from La Paz, has never been easier. Club Cantamar is conveniently fitted to help you have the best dive vacation.
Decompression Chamber
Your safety is our main concern at Club Cantamar. We are the only Dive Resort in Mexico fitted with a decompression chamber in premises.
Tank Hydro Testing
The safety of the tank filler depends on the knowledge that he is working with scuba tanks that have been tested. With this concern in mind, Club Cantamar had its own hydrotest machine.
